Web search engine list in south korea(Naver, Daum, Google, and Nate)

Today, i would like to let you know information of the typical web search engine in south korea.

 

There are four popular web search engines.

 

 

(1) Naver

 

http://www.naver.com/

 

Naver which is the most popular web search engine in south korea accounts for approximately 80% of web search engine market share.
 

 

(2) Daum

 

http://www.daum.net/

 

Daum have about 15% of market share.

 

Recently, Kakao which is the biggest mobile messenger in south korea was merged with Daum.

 

So, we expect that Daum will grow by leaps and bounds in the foreseeable future.

 

 

 

 

(3) Google

 

http://www.google.co.kr/

 

 Even though Google is the biggest web search engine all over the world, Google has roughly 4% of market share in south korea.
 

 

 

 

 

(4) Nate  

 

http://www.nate.com/

 

Nate has about 1% of market share in south korea.
